What is a sweating thermal manikin?
A sweating thermal manikin is based on the same well proven heating and sensing technology as thermal manikin, equipped with advanced and precise surface water dosing system. This feature allows it to simulate various sweating conditions, from low to high sweat rates, closely mimicking human thermoregulatory behavior. By analyzing sweat distribution and heat loss, researchers can improve product designs for enhanced performance and comfort.
With up to 250 sweat glands, our sweating manikins are capable of simulating both high sweat rates (mainly applicable to clothing analysis) and more realistic, low sweat rates. Each sweat gland is regulated by an individual valve which creates very precise and targeted dosing without any impact of gravity. Furthermore, it makes it possible to optimize the size of the sweat glands to avoid clocking and minimize maintenance.
