History
The development of a new thermal manikin was started at the Danish Technical University (DTU). The wiring and control system was developed by Peter Trans. The thermal manikin was so convincing, that visiting researchers from many countries wanted to acquire one. As a result, PT Teknik was founded in 1988 by Peter Trans.
PT Teknik started manufacturing thermal manikins after developing the hardware and software, and in 2001, a new generation of manikins with internal intelligent control system was ready.
The manikins have been gradually refined and improved in collaboration with researchers and users all over the world. In addition to the standard manikin functionality, a natural breathing system, a multifunctional walking machine and other accessories have been developed to broaden the applications of the manikins and enable a more realistic simulation of thermal comfort. In 2018, the first sweating manikin was delivered to a customer in Japan.
The team was expanded and the company ownership was restructured with new owners. The new team stays committed to continue the legacy of constant innovation, excellent customer support and high flexibility in meeting customer requirements.
